Advantages

• RGBW on a single chip:
Combines RGB color mixing with an additional white channel (warm or cool white) for natural white tones and an expanded color spectrum.
• Segmented control:
Thanks to the SPI protocol and TM1814 IC, individual control of segments with 6 LEDs each is possible – ideal for effects and color gradients.
• 24V system:
Enables longer runs with stable brightness and reduced voltage drop compared to 5V strips.
• Flexible application:
Three protection ratings available:
IP20 for dry indoor spaces,
IP65 with silicone potting for slightly damp areas,
IP67 with silicone tubing for dust- and splash-proof applications.

Scope of application

• Colored lighting accents with a white component for residential and commercial lighting
• Addressable RGBW lighting installations in bars, hotels, or showrooms
• Effect lighting with segmented control for events and stages
• Backlit elements in exhibitions and advertising displays

Scope of delivery

• 1 × LED strip
• 1 × connector (JST plug)

Installation Instructions

• Observe the data flow direction:
The data direction is indicated by an arrow on the strip. The controller must always be connected to the data input (DIN). Connecting it in the wrong direction will prevent it from working.
• Reverse polarity protection:
Make sure to pay close attention to the correct polarity – +V, GND, and DATA (or CLK in 2-wire systems).
Incorrect polarity can irreparably damage the LED strip or controller.
If available, pay attention to the markings on the strip or at the connection.
• Power supply according to the LED type:
- 5V strips (e.g., WS2812B, SK6812) require exactly 5V
- 12V strips (e.g., WS2815) are more tolerant regarding length, but have higher current consumption
- 24V strips (e.g., TM1814, COB models) are for longer distances with less voltage drop
Important: Always use a suitable power supply (voltage + sufficient power in watts/amperes).
• Size the power supply:
Calculate power consumption depending on the number of LEDs, voltage, and brightness.
Always plan for approx. 10% power reserve for the power supply.
• Observe the maximum length per power feed:
Control and voltage quality decrease as the length increases.
Guidelines for single-sided power feed:
5V: max. 3-4m
12V: max. 5-8m
24V: up to 10m
For longer distances:
→ plan for double-sided power feed or additional power feed points
• Signal amplification for long distances:
From approx. 5m or with several LED strips in series, a signal repeater or data booster may be necessary to ensure clean data transmission.
• Keep signal and power lines short:
Use cables that are as short as possible and sufficiently sized to avoid voltage drops and data interference.
• Do not forget the GND connection:
Even with separate power supplies or long data lines, the ground connection (GND) must always be continuously connected – otherwise, data errors will occur.
• Control via compatible controllers:
Operate only with SPI- or PWM-capable controllers (e.g., WLED, Pixel Controller, DMX-SPI Decoder, Arduino, ESP32, etc.) – depending on the LED IC used.
• Test before final installation:
First check the strip at full length (voltage, data, colors, IC function) – only then attach it. For protection ratings IP65/IP67, check for tightness beforehand.
• Consider heat generation:
COB strips and high-power models can get warm. Mounting on heat-conducting surfaces (e.g., aluminum profile) is recommended.
